It all started in 1779 then Thomas Harrison deeded 2.5 acres of his land to the towns people. Over the next century, the town elected officials, quadrupled in size, and developed businesses to support the town. Today we have a vibrant community that opens their doors to visitors and welcomes businesses from around the region.

In the 1925 the State Teachers college was established and later became known as the famous James Madison University (JMU). Today, this university is home to over 19,000 students and employs 4,000 staff members. All of us here know how important the next generation is and that is why we love our JMU students. We plan to celebrate their achievements in the spring with a festive cookout. One of our kind Harrisonburg tenants has a special school bus converted to food truck that will help make this event even more special. Our JMU pride goes deep and we are love our Harrisonburg, VA neighborhood because we are helping the next generation prosper.

Today the heart and soul of Harrisonburg is downtown. With events like our Halloween party, Skeleton festival, or the party of the year, Renaissance Night, you are sure to be entertained when you stop by.
