Our little home town has several beautiful parks including the C&O Canal park where you can hike and even experience history with a ride in an authentic canal boat. This is a great time to get a way from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy the wildlife Williamsport Maryland has to offer. Stop by to see us in the summer for our Fourth of July celebration. Enjoy a July 4th band concert near our town pavilion in Byron Memorial Park presented by our own community band of town folk. Then relax and enjoy the fantastic giant fireworks display once the sun goes down.
In the fall, all the churches come together to host the Harvest Hoe Down and the community works together to restock the local food bank. Kids will love this event! Painting a pumpkin or build your own scarecrow whichever fall activity you find you definitely enjoy the Harvest Hoe Down. We love our community and the charitable acts they do for one another.

At Christmas time the season opens with our extravagant parade. The floats come right up main street and wind around through town and end with a big finale at Byron Memorial Park. The trees and water come alive with a Nativity scene and a lighted representation of every imaginable winter character. From Winnie the Poo to Sponge-Bob Square Pants you can get a picture with everyone. After you have strolled through the park jump into the Springfield barn and see all the decorated Christmas trees. The barn comes alive with trees decorated by every community group and business, including your very own Valley Storage! This event really gets you in the holiday spirit.
